Dear friends of Casa Hogar,
e had such a fun Sumer even so at the beginning with so many team cancelation we were sad but the teams who came made up for it. Each team worked so hard in destroying the old boy’s dorms! In the afternoon time with the children was wonderful, and full of new activities like cooking, working with puppet as well as making baskets. The kids had so much and enjoy the attention of each team member. We miss each one of you! But now back to realities… schools that imply school supplies, uniforms etc... Books. We want to thank the people s who made it possible to keep the children in Nuevo Horizonte. Grecia birthday her 15 birthday ( big fiesta for girls in the Mexican culture) was celebrated on Saturday in Casa Hogar, Isabel made her a beautiful lilac long dress , Vicky Escalante bough her the shoes, Loolve the ring, many members of the church brought soft drinks and I gave the money for the cake . It was a beautiful service. I was all choking up when she thank all of us and Casa Hogar for the life she now with Christ in the center of it.
Martin Graduated in August and is now doing his social service. We specially want to thank the family that sponsor his over four year of university and gave him the money for the suit , the ring and his diploma.
We also celebrated the 15th of September at Casa Hogar instead of doing it at the church where we decorated it and made stands for the foo, we also had a program where children and adults participate in it.
We are thankful to the Lord for his provision ,your support and prayers needed badly at Casa Hogar .
We have many needs at Casa Hogar like having more founds for food to give a better nutritian for the children. Everything went up in prices like oil to cook was $ 180.00 pesos and now is $260.00 pesos, rice was $ 8.00 per kilo and now is $ 16.00 pesos, beans were $ 10.00 per kilo and now is $22.00.
We have the need to raise Alejandro Valenzuela ´s salary since ten years ago his has not had one.
Alejandro Carpio has had problem with his eyes and needs badly new cornea for each eye. It can only be done in Mexico City and the cost of both cornea is around $6.000.00 US dollars. It is very important we do it quick as he has to take in February his exam to start college and has the capacity to make a good student.
Alejandro´s son Ricardo is very sick, he is over weight and the consequences are : Diabetic, has a hard time to walk and to breath and many other things. They have try everything to lower is weight like they only buy food necesery for the day in order for him not to over eat. Alejandro took him to Mexico City to seek medical help, the doctors he saw told Alejandro that if he is not attended Ricardo could have a heart attack any time. The doctors all agree that the best thing for his condition would be an operation to staple his stomac, they could only opare him in Mexico City as they do not do it in Acapulco. Please pray for Alejandro and his son.
We need a new mini bus as the one we have is constanly at the garage for repair.
We need 10 new computers for the new computer room.
We destroyed the boys dorms and we need to start building the new one.
I am badly in need of an assistant please pray that I can find the right person.
